Federico has survived an earthquake. He earns the power of captivating the luck of those who surround him: He has got “The gift”. He works bringing bad luck to players´ wining stream in a casino built in a lava desert, owned by Sam, a survivor of the major tragedy humanity has ever known; the Holocaust. Challenging Sam, Federico is expelled from heaven and his gift is disallowed by Sam. Years later, Federico thinks having found in Tomas, the only survivor from an air accident, his revenge’s tool to go back to the casino and to challenge to God of Luck, accompanied by such a powerful young man like Tomas, whom he will teach how to control the fortune. Here begins an initiative journey in which both will have to accomplish a series of tests, each one stranger than the other, betting on others´ luck. Everything goes well until a policeman, obsessed by his family’s death in a car accident, starts to pursue Tomas and Federico intending to discover the reality of this secret network of games, in which death and luck are mixed up. In which one can only go out staying intact.

Director's biography


Juan Carlos Fresnadillo was born 5 December 1967 is a Spanish film director, script writer, and producer. He directed Intacto and 28 weeks later, the sequel to Danny Boyle’s 28 days later. His film Esposados was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film in 1996.
