This film is bright pink and raven black, excessive in both extremes. It visually captures the colourfully happy but likewise destructive friendship between the two teenagers Ari and Oona. The Lolita-like Ari indulges sexual escapades with much older men as thrilling experience and contrast to her superficial family life. Oona reacts to her feelings of guilt for her father’s suicide with expressive charcoal drawings and self-destructive attacks. When Ari and Oona meet each other for the first time, they are magically drawn to each other. Symbiotically united, they explore and discover the hidden and forbidden parts of the city jungle—until Ari falls for Oona’s loathed uncle Lukas. Oona withdraws deeply hurt and irritated. To safe their friendship, the girls make a fateful decision…
