Director's Filmography


Kaspar Rostrup was born in 1940 in Denmark. He is a stage and television director and also trained as an actor. From 1984 to 1991, Kaspar Rostrup was head of Gladsaxe Teater, a major Danish theatre near Copenhagen. In 1981, he directed his feature debut, Jeppe of The Hill, based on a comedy by 18th-century dramatist Ludvig Holberg. Rostrup received an Academy Award nomination for Waltzing Regitze. The film met with great popular success and was honored in Montreal and Lübeck.
