A collection of songs that have deserted their movies, and embarked on a life and history of their own, far away from those stories and scripts that gave them birth.
We forget the lineage, and only the songs remain.
For this exceptional concert, ‘If Only You Could Tell My Loved Ones’, Rima Khcheich has hand-picked a bouquet of ‘movie tunes’ and is presenting them as part of the ‘Ayam Beirut Al Cinema’iya’ festivities. It is almost as if these songs, through Rima’s voice, have come back to visit their home after years of absence.

Rima Kcheich was a classical Arabic Singing Instructor at the Lebanese National Superior Conservatory of Music (1998). She was a guest vocalist with Simon Shaheen and toured in the United States. She also toured in Holland and the Middle East for her debut album Orient Express Jazz with Arabic music. She released Yalalalli in 2006.
