Vito, Luis and Francesco are three Spanish friends around thirty who travel by van to Paris for no apparent reason. Somebody might say that it is about burning the last ships of youth while others will talk about the decline of the male gender. “The romantic exiles” speak a little bit about this but also about other no less important issues, during the long and at the same time short journey, in which the three friends look for a reunion with their respective idyllic and yet ephemeral love affairs, with the only mission of surprising themselves and continue to still feel alive.

Tres amigos emprenden un viaje sin motivo aparente. Algunos podrían decir que se trata de quemar las últimas naves de la juventud mientras que otros hablarán de la decadencia del género masculino. Los exiliados románticos habla un poco de eso y de otras cosas no menos trascendentes, durante un trayecto largo y a la vez corto en el que los personajes van al encuentro de amores idílicos y a la vez efímeros, con la única misión de sorprenderse a sí mismos y de seguir sintiéndose vivos.
