"القطاع 35 هو مكان لم يسمّى أبداً في عائلتي. هناك دفنت أختي الكبرى، التي توفيت في الثالثة من عمرها. هذه الأخت التي لم أُخبر عنها قط، أو لا شيء تقريباً، والتي لم يحتفظ أهلي بأي صورة لها. قمت بهذا الفيلم لملء هذا النقص. ظنّاً منّي أنه لأمر سهل طرح خيط حياة منسية، فتحت الباب الخلفي على واقع كنت أتجاهله، وعلى ذاكرة اللاوعي الموجودة داخل كل واحد منّا، والتي تحدّد ما هو نحن عليه."

"Carré 35 est un lieu qui n’a jamais été nommé dans ma famille ; c’est là qu’est enterrée ma sœur aînée, morte à l’âge de trois ans. Cette sœur dont on ne m’a rien dit ou presque, et dont mes parents n’avaient curieusement gardé aucune photographie. C’est pour combler cette absence d’image que j’ai entrepris ce film. Croyant simplement dérouler le fil d’une vie oubliée, j’ai ouvert une porte dérobée sur un vécu que j’ignorais, sur cette mémoire inconsciente qui est en chacun de nous et qui fait ce que nous sommes."

Plot 35 is a place that was never mentioned in my family; it is where my elder sister, who died aged three, is buried. The sister about whom I was told nothing, or nearly nothing, and of whom my parents had oddly never kept a single photograph. It was to make up for the missing images that I decided to make this film. Thinking that I would simply chronicle a forgotten life, in fact I opened up the hidden door to a past that I was unaware of, to the subconscious memory that lies inside each of us and which makes us what we are.
