A factory chimney begins to fall. While this is happening, in a poet's room, an armless statue abruptly comes to life. It invites the poet to step through a mirror and to discover another world.
Une cheminée d'usine s'apprête à tomber. Durant ce temps, dans la chambre d'un poète, une statue sans bras s'anime brusquement. Cette dernière l'invite à plonger dans un miroir et de découvrir un autre monde.
مدخنةُ مصنع على وشك الانهيار. في الوقت عينه في غرفة شاعر، يتحرّك فجأةً تمثالٌ من دون ذراعَين ويدعو الشاعرَ إلى الغوص في مرآة واكتشاف عالم آخر.

Two or The Dragon
Two or The Dragon is the electro-acoustic duo of Abed Kobeissy and Ali Hout. The project is a result of the duo’s common interest in urban sounds and Arabic music. While approaching Beirut’s urban soundscapes as a local aesthetic and a main component in their work, the duo’s unique sound of processed Buzuq and percussions, combined with their background in traditional Arabic music, takes the sonic, visual, and pseudo-political day-to-day that is Beirut and reflects it onto a hyper-realistic soundscape. They released their first album “Prelude for the Triumphant Man” in 2017, composed many live scores for contemporary dance and theater productions, and are in the process of releasing their 2nd album this year. They’ve performed their work in Lebanon, Germany, Sweden, Norway, UK, France, Belgium, Italy, Ireland, USA, Canada, Chile, UAE, and Egypt.
Two or The Dragon est le duo électroacoustique de Abed Kobeissy et Ali Hout. Le projet est le résultat d’un intérêt commun que partagent les deux hommes dans le domaine des sons urbains et de la musique arabe. Dans leur traitement des paysages sonores urbains de Beyrouth en tant que constituant principal, esthétique et local dans leur travail, ils créent un son unique de Buzuq et de percussions, combiné avec leur background en musique arabe traditionnelle. Ce son est influencé par le quotidien sonore, visuel et pseudo-politique de Beyrouth et exprimé donc dans un paysage sonore hyper réaliste. Les deux hommes ont publié leur premier album « Prelude for the Triumphant Man » en 2017 et composé plusieurs partitions en direct pour des danses contemporaines et des productions théâtrales. Ils travaillent actuellement sur la publication de leur second album cette année. Ils ont présenté leur travail dans les pays suivants: Liban, Allemagne, Suède, Norvège, Royaume-Uni, France, Belgique, Italie, Irlande, États-Unis, Canada, Chili, Émirats arabes unis et Égypte.
تقدّم فرقة "التنين" أو Two or The Dragon، المؤلفة من عبد قبيسي وعلي الحوت، موسيقى الإلكتروكوستيك. لقد أتى المشروع وليدة اهتمام الطرفَين المشترك بأصوات المدينة والموسيقى العربية. وفي مقاربتهما للمشهد الصوتي المدني على أنّه مكوّن رئيسي وتجميلي محلّي في عملهما، ابتكرا صوتاً فريداً من نوعه يجمع بين صوت البزق والآلات الإيقاعية ويمتزج مع خلفيتهما التي تضمّ موسيقة عربية تقليدية. ويستمدّ هذا الصوت هويته من يوميات بيروت بأبعادها الصوتية والبصرية وشبه السياسية فيعكسها من خلال مشهد صوتي واقعي للغاية. لقد أطلق الثنائي ألبومهما الأول "Prelude for the Triumphant Man" في العام 2017، وألّفا الكثير من الموسيقى المباشرة في رقصات معاصرة وإنتاجات مسرحية، وهما في قيد إصدار ألبومهما الثاني في هذا العام. لقد قدّما عملهما في لبنان، وألمانيا، والسويد، والنرويج، والمملكة المتحدة، وفرنسا، وبلجيكا، وإيطاليا، وأيرلندا، والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، وكندا، وتشيلي، والإمارات العربية المتحدة، ومصر.
