Italian airship engineer Umberto Nobile is leading a quiet life with his beloved dog Titina. One day, the famous Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen orders an airship from him to go and conquer the North Pole. Nobile seizes the opportunity to make history. He takes Titina with him, and the unlikely trio sets off on an expedition to the last place on Earth to be discovered.

Umberto Nobile, ingénieur aéronautique italien, mène une vie tranquille avec sa chienne bien-aimée Titina. Un jour, le célébrissime explorateur norvégien Roald Amundsen lui commande un dirigeable pour aller conquérir le pôle Nord. Nobile saisit l'occasion d'entrer dans l'histoire. Il emmène Titina avec lui, et l'improbable trio part en expédition vers le dernier endroit à découvrir sur Terre.
